Thanksgiving In Arizona

We spent Thanksgiving this year in Arizona! It was a nice break from the Freezing cold of Idaho. It was weird to be back there, but be with my in-laws, instead of my family. It made me miss my childhood. The days of no worries. Man do I miss those days sometimes. Not that I would give up my husband, and crazy, yet wonderful kids :) The week went by too quickly, and now we are back home, freezing our butts off, and counting the days 'till Hawaii (45, ha!)

NEW HOUSE!

I can't believe we only have a little over a month left here in South Texas. As much as I gripe about this place (and trust me, I do) I will be a bit sad to leave. It is the only place I have known as a parent, and an adult. It's where I had my babies, and where they have grown into such amazing little boys. It's where my boys will probably want to come back to visit someday, to know where they came from. It is weird to think that for me and Trevin, this place was just a pit-stop. But to our boys, Texas is where they're from. It will be weird to be somewhere else, and without the military safety net that I love/hate. I can't believe that 5 years has already gone by. I can't believe all that has happened in those 5 years. We go married, Trevin went to Bootcamp, we moved to Florida for 6 months, then to South Texas, where we moved 3 times while being here. So 2 babies and 5 moves later and here we are, planning our 6th and FINAL move (ok, well final for the next 2 years at least.....probably. )

So, enough of the reminiscing, on the the recent pictures of my little love muffins! :) We went to the park the other day, and I decided to snap some pics, as it was a beautiful day! I just LOVE his chubby little hands :)

The hap happenings

Well, a crap load of stuff has been happening the past month in our little world. We moved back to Kingsville (with less than 3 weeks notice!) Rylan is sleeping better through the night, is no longer breastfed, Javin is trying his luck at the potty, we took a much needed weekend trip to California for Thanksgiving, and Trevin officially got a job in Idaho. So two good, the rest... taxing. But we are still alive, so there's something. Now tomorrow, we are heading to Utah to spend Christmas with our family. I can't remember the last time we have been home for Christmas (if ever?) so we are excited to say the least! Temple square lights, Thanksgiving Point, SNOW, etc. I will make sure I post some pics of our trip when we get back, but for now, here are some pics of Javin finally riding his 2nd birthday present, and it is only a month before his next birthday! And some pics of Rylans shenanigans today. Well, I guess I should go pack now! See ya in a few!

Catchin' dem Butterflies

The butterflies are out like crazy here right now, so we made Javin a little net the other day to see if we could catch some.... those suckers are fast. But we had fun trying! I didn't post the picture of me trying because, I really need to work on my "catching butterfly" face... it is not pretty people :)

Bowling

Well, as I'm sure everyone has heard me complain at least once about how much I *dislike* South Texas. The weather sucks, the mosquitos are the size of buffaloes, and there is nothing to do here. So I was quite excited when I remembered that the base had a bowling alley! We went for family night, and Javin LOVED it. He was so excited, and could hardly wait for his turn. We will definitely be back, but first we have to move back to Kingsville on Friday.... ugh.

Peer Pressure

As usual, I caved after months of random (and not so random) people telling me I needed to cut Javins hair... I must confess that I did think he needed a bit of a trim, because, despite my best efforts, I could not get him to push his hair out of his face. In fact, he would purposely push his hair IN his face :) ha ha keeps me laughing for sure! So I sat him in the high chair, turned on the TV, fed him a sucker, and started on my beautiful babies hair. As you can probably tell it was very sad, and I'm not going to say I am happy about it, but he still looks cute, and I'm sure he will maybe, hopefully run into a few less objects... so here is the BEFORE pic:AFTER:

Crib Time!

I'm pretty sure, much to Trevins dismay, this is the first time Rylan has been in his crib... so I had to get some pics! Then of coarse, Javin had to jump in. Add a hat, and you've got a party :) Rylan loved his crib... but I'm pretty sure things would go a bit defferently if I was actually trying to get him to sleep in it :)

Navy Ball 2009

This is actually only our 2nd Navy Ball in the 4 years we've been in the Navy. With the 2 kids, we just didn't get the chance to go those other years, but with being our last one, I made sure we went! It was a lot of fun, and it is always good to get out!!

We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday on our way back from dropping my parents off at the airport. We had such a good time with them, and wish they didn't have to leave. So to cheer up Javin ( and myself :) we went to pick out some pumpkins! We had a great time, and the weather was perfect.

Javin was so funny, and took the pumpkin stickers, and stuck them on his face. The things he comes up with!! I love him so much!! :)

Children's Museum

We went to the museum here in Corpus for the first time, and I was sad it took us so long to get here! It is great, and Javin loved it! Too bad we are moving soon... o well :) If you live in corpus and haven't been, go!

We had been planning a trip to San Antonio this weekend for weeks now, and were so excited to go! We packed up the car and headed to the Riverwalk! Both kids in great health! Then, when we got there and Javin was playing outside with some of his friends, we noticed his voice was starting to get horse.... no big deal. We checking into the hotel, and relaxed for a little bit. Then we decided to go shopping at the Riverwalk mall, and Javin started jumping up and down on the bed saying "I'm so excited!" (This made the whole trip totally worth it!) We shopped for a bit, then met up with our friends and took the riverboat cruise. I was a bit bummed that I forgot to take my camera, but, we did have the whole weekend to take pictures, so no big deal...ha. At about 10, we went back to the hotel and prepared to go to sleep. (That itself was a nightmare... ever time Javin made a noise, Rylan woke up, and vice versa) We finally got them to sleep around 11pm. Then, at 11:58, Javin wakes up gasping for breath! It was horrible, and it wasn't getting any better, so Trevin took him to the ER. By the time he got there, of coarse, Javin was breathing better. The wait at the ER was very long, so Trevin called me, and we decided to just drive home and take Javin to our own ER if he needed it, as there was no way were were going to sea world now! When we got home at 3:40 AAAMMM, Trevin went with Javin to sleep. At 6, he came into our room and woke me up saying Javin couldn't breath again, and was taking him to the ER. When he got to the ER, they checked his Oxegen level, and it was very low, so they Transferred him by ambulance to the Childrens hospital where he was admitted. He received a bunch of breathing treatments and was doing much better, thank heavens! The decided he had croup, and were going to keep him for at least 24 hours for observation.... um.... I think I can watch him at home thank you very much! I found it ridiculous that they wanted to keep him overnight, especially since, if you know Javin, you know that he never spend 1 minute in his hospital bed. In Fact, he literally ripped his hospital gown off his body! Hulk style! He spent the whole time crying to go home, and walking the halls! My poor baby just wanted to go home, and sleep in his own bed! I hold the hospital that we were going to check out (as that is my right as his parent!) and they told me that there would be tons of paperwork, and a visit with Social Services, before they would let us go. ( as well as a probable visit from them at home) hahahaha, people, he has CROUP!!! Get a freaking life!! Finally I got them to agree to let us go home that evening, without having to jump through all their hoops. They rented us a nebulizer, and we did the breathing treatments at home. Javin is doing much better, being in his own environment and finally able to sleep! Long story... long... but it was probably the worse night/ day of our lives thus far! Oh yeah, and to add insult to injury, Javins hospital room had Shamu all over the walls! He walked in and yelled "Shampoo!" (We had been telling him all week he was going to see Shamu.) Next time when we actually go to Sea World, he is NOT going to want to see "Shampoo" :) Where Javin spent most of the time... in the visiting area, NEXT to his room.

When the hospital heard a 2 year old was coming in, they had a crib set up for him... but the moment they saw him, they went and switched his bed to this baby :)

So we are home now.... nightmare OVER!!!

24th of July!

It's been 4 years since we have been able to celebrate the 24th, so we went all out :) Ok, not really, but we did have a BBQ and fireworks! I forgot summer could be something to look forward to, instead of dread! The weather is so beautiful in Utah! Happy 24th!

We have a season pass to the aquarium, and spend a lot of our time there! What else are we going to do in this blazin heat :) Yesterday we went with some friends, and Javin had a great time watching the dolphins.

Father's Day Weekend

We had a great Fathers Day weekend! On Saturday we went to the beach, and on Sunday afternoon we went to the park to fly a kite. I love when we actually get a whole weekend to spend as a family. I am so greatful to have Trevin as my husband and my kids father.

We went to the beach last week, and had a great time! We only live 10 minutes from the beach, but only go like twice a year. The beaches here are certainly not like they are in hawaii :) But we did have a great time, and really should go more often. We found a dead shark! Javin was quite excited!

My friend Misty (yes people, I have one!) had a little girl who is 2 months younger than Rylan, who is the cutest little girl! This picture doesn't do her justice at all, but I had to take a pic of what happened when we layed them on the couch together! Thanksgiving Point

So these are a bit old, but I guess I forgot to post them! When we were in Utah in April, we spent a day at Thanksgiving Point Farm. We had a great time in the great weather! The picture of me is a few days after I got my wisdom teeth out! I bruised pretty bad, and looked like an abused wife for my whole vacation. When people would look at me funny, Trevin would loudly ask me how my wisdom teeth were doing, so no one would think that he did this to me. :)

3 year anniversary!

So, if you know us well enough, you know that we have actually been married for over 4 years, but today is the 3rd anniversary of the day we were sealed for eternity! So this is the anniversary that we celebrate. It started off a little rocky, with Trevin getting called into work early this morning (he is suppose to go in at 3 pm this week) Then on his way home from work, he got a speeding ticket! But we did get to go to lunch all by our selves before he had to go back to work for the rest of the evening. Atleast I got to see him for 2 hours today :) It was a much needed break from the kids, not having to talk over kids crying/yelling, etc. (thanks Misty :) I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband, whom I love more than anything! Happy anniversary babe!

San Antonio Weekend

We went to San Antonio for the weekend to relax, and stayed at our favorite hotel on the riverwalk. Nothing beats the view! We had so much fun at the childrens museum, and relaxing in the hotel.

Botanical Gardens

Javin had a great time running around the gardens, trying to pick flowers and jump in the water. Krispy Kreme

Today, for some CRAZY reason, I decided to go with some of the girls from my ward and their kids to tour Krispy Kreme. First of all, I just started my diet on Monday (was that only yesterday? haha) and I LOVE donuts. And if that wasn't torture enough, I went with Javin. If you know Javin, you know you don't want to be in public alone with him. Dare I say that he could probably take me these days. The kids is HUGE, and the most high strung toddler EVER. He was running around the donut shop, trying to get his hands on as many donuts as possible. Then I decided to buy him some milk in the hopes that maybe he will drink it and calm down and watch with the other kids. No such luck. He just took the milk and spilled it all over the floor, and continued to run amuck. Thank heavens Rylan slept in his car seat the whole time, cause I didn't have another arm to tend to him. Anyway- It is over now, and I made it out alive, so no complaining. I will just stick to the casa from here on out.

I never realized...

I never realized how truely huge Javin was until Rylan came along! I mean, I know weighing in at almost 40 lbs is a huge 2 year old, but I never had anything to compare it to. Now when I change his diaper, I am thinking to myself, man, this is like changing a full blown teenagers diaper! So we are going to be working on the potty training. He is ready for sure, he actually has been for a couple months, but I thought it was bad timing with the new baby coming, but I want to be done changing his diaper. Also, on a potty training note, boys are so hard to potty train! He sits on the potty and goes "pee pee" and half of it ends up on the floor! :)

We took some pictures last week of Rylan laying on Javins bed. I might be bias, but he is such a cute baby! :) He is also such a good baby! He never crys, and I am holding hope that he will be a lot more mellow than his older brother! So far so good, so we will have to see!

We came out of Javin's room, to see him typing on the laptop, while watching tv. He is more like his dad than we realized :)

Rylan was born on Tuesday, December 16th at 4:20pm! I went in to be induced at 8 pm on Monday night, and he was born late after noon tuesday. It was a longer labor than with Javin, but all worth it in the end! We are so blessed to have him as a part if our family. We just got home from the hospital late last night, so I will post more info later, probably :) He was 8 lbs 11 oz, 21 inches long, and a perfect healthy baby. We love him so much!

I am sitting out side watching Trevin hang Christmas lights, remembering that I haven't blogged for a while, so I thought I would write some of the things I am thankful for, in honor of the holiday season. So today is Saturday, and it has been a very nice, long weekend, so far. I definately needed it now more than ever, since I have been pretty stressed out about all things baby. We have been procrstinating EVERYTHING when it comes to the new baby, so I finally broke down and got some stuff done. It didn't quite feel like a holiday this Thanksgiving, as we spent it in Texas without family, but I still have a lot to be thankful for none the less. I am so thankful for Trevin. He is such a good husband to me, especially now when I am needing it the most. I can't even put my own socks on for heavens sake! I don't know what I would do without him! I am also so greatful for my crazy little boy. Sometimes he drives me absolutely crazy :) but I wouldn't have it any other way! He is so funny! I can't believe that a person so small (if you could call him small :) could have such a big personality already! I am also so greatful for all that the Lord has blessed me with. It is hard when money gets tight, to focus on all you have, but we really have so much. I could go on and on, but I will probably just stop here and go make sure Trevin hasn't fallen off the roof yet :)

Halloween!!

For Halloween, Trevin had to work late, so we didn't get to go trick-or-treating, but we did manage to make it to the Military Halloween Carnival. Javin had a great time playing on the playground most of the time, but managed to ride the ponies for a sec. We had a great time!

New Baby's Bed!

We finally set up the new baby's bed today! It is sad we are still calling him new baby, when he will be here VERY soon! Anyway- I love the new crib and bedding! I can't wait to finish the room! (Hopefully before the baby is here! :) But at least now he has a place to sleep!

Pumpkin Patch!

This first pic was suppose to upload last, but since it took so long to upload I am not switching them! On our way to the pumpkin patch we passed a tractor at the drive thru, and had to pull over and take a pic. Only in Texas! :)Today we went to the pumpkin patch! It was a hot day today ( around 85 degrees! ) so we didn't stay too long, but we snapped some pictures before we melted :) Javin loved all the pumpkins, which he calls "humpkins" and had a great time running though the maze and dodging the camera!

Today was the end of a great week with my family! Everyone came down to visit (Mom, Dad, Lauren, Adam and Rachael) and we went down to South Padre Island for the weekend. We had so much fun and I can't wait for them to send me the pictures so I can upload them! We rented a condo on the beach and spent our time relaxing. Now back to real life :( Trevin is working and Javin is watching a quick episode of Callou before bed. (Oh man I hate that show!) Javin begs many times a day to watch Callou. I'm not sure what he sees in the show, but hey, whatever makes him happy! :) Now I feel like I have to post a picture to complete my entry, and I dont have pics from this weekend yet, so here is a picture from last week of Javin and his "Boops." I told him to bring me his clothes so we could go bye bye, and he ran into my room and got socks and my bra (which he calls "boops") He is so funny! This kid keeps me laughing all day!
